NAFCO adds Co-Pal services
Nies/Artcraft Fulfillment Company (NAFCO) has been authorized by the USPS to participate in their co-palletization services program. This USPS program, of which Nies/Artcraft is the only locally authorized participant, allows NAFCO clients to take advantage of postal entry discounts for smaller mailings that might not normally receive any discount and to qualify larger mailings for SCF entry that previously might have only been entered at the BMC level. By entering the mail deeper into the postal system, not only do our clients realize greater postal savings, but we also can better predict in home dates for the mail.
Co-palletization for letter size pieces now gives our clients three options for entering their mail via NAFCO:
- Direct entry at the SCF, BMC, or local level
- Co-mingled service (mixing the individual pieces of mail at the tray level)
- Co-palletization service (mixing completed trays of mail at the pallet level)
Based on your mailing distribution we can segment the drops to obtain the best discounts by looking at all 3 scenarios. By moving 3-digit and 5-digit mail to co-palletization you could see an overall postal discount greater than $0.03 per piece including freight.
